Herro, wercome tsu Japan! Vol. 2

Yesterday we were supposed to meet a member for lunch.  Taylor and I left the house in plenty early and arrived at Izumi-Omiya well before the 12 o'clock rendezvous time.  And then we waited for an hour, and nobody showed up.  Disappointed, we bought a small lunch at a convenience store and went home.

Come to find out (literally moments after we arrive back at the Satos), we were supposed to meet at Izumi-Otsu, three train stops down from Izumi-Omiya.  I misunderstood the instructions and we waited fruitlessly in the wrong spot.

Dang! Just when I thought I was getting the hang of this Japanese thing....

That's okay, I guess.  They're still trying to get a hang of the "English" thing too, and their innocent errors and misuses of the language make me chuckle.

Well, I know who I work for now: a coffee company

I guess you can't fault the Japanese for this too much, seeing as American college students have a problem with this too.

"It may not be a great luxury in your life, and yet takings surrounded by our "Golusia" means a comfortable daily life."

If the store itself questions whether it's exciting or not, I'm not sure I want to go in.

I'm not quite sure how to "through," but apparently passing is okay.

I wonder who told the Japanese that "commutation" is a common English word...
